Ingredients
  

Stuffing Base

  • 1 1/2 lbs Jimmy Dean’s Pork Sausage original recipe
  • 2 loaves White Bread
  • 1 lb Bacon
  • 1 large Onion
  • 1 pt Sour Cream cannot substitute

Instructions
 

  • Fry the pork sausage and remove from the pan. Set the sausage aside (crumble it) and discard the rendered juice.
  • Slice the bacon into small 1/4 inch chunks. Fry until crisp. Set the crisp bacon aside and save the drippings.
  • Sauté the chopped large onion in the saved bacon drippings until tender.
  • Cube the white bread, crusts and all.
  • In a big bowl, toss together all the cooked ingredients (sausage, crisp bacon, sautéed onion) and the cubed bread.
  • Add the sour cream to the mixture to moisten it.
  • Bake the mixture for 20 minutes at 325°F to blend the flavors (if preparing ahead of time).
  • Stuff the turkey or other bird when you are ready to bake it.
