Handwritten family recipe for Apple Crumb Pie
Ingredients
- 5 cups chopped apples peeled
- 2 tbsps sour cream
- 2 tbsps lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Topping
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cold butter
Instructions
- Line 9″ pie plate with pastry. Flute edges.
- In bowl combine all ingredients together.
- For topping: Combine flour and sugar in bowl, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Bake at 375°F for 45-50 minutes.
