
Sautéed PORK CHOPS with sugar-glazed apples

Equipment
- wax paper
- 1 Cast Iron Skillet 12 inches
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp corn meal
- 1 tbsp rosemary crushed
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 pork loins or sirloin chops, ea. ½ in. thick
- 2 tbsp salad oil
- 2 tbsp butter or margarine
- 2 apples medium-sized red cooking apples, cut into wedges
- 1 tsp sugar
Instructions
- Onto waxed paper, measure flour, corn meal, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Dip pork chops in flour mixture to coat completely.
- In 12 in. skillet over med.-high heat, in hot salad oil and butter or margarine, cook pork chops 10 to 15 min, turning pork chops once, until tender and lightly browned on both sides. Remove pork chops to warm platter; keep warm.
- In drippings remaining in skillet, over medium heat, cook apple wedges and sugar about 3 min or until tender, turning apple wedges once.
- To serve, arrange apple wedges on platter with pork chops.
