
Fruit Torte

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 24 plums pitted, halved
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Cream1 cup sugar, ½ cup butter
- Add1 cup flour, ¼ tsp salt, 1 tsp baking powder, 2 eggs
- Place in 9" spring form. Add to top and cover entire surface with the fruit.24 plums
- Sprinkle top with1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tsp cinnamon
- Bake at 350° for one hour.
Notes
Substitute plums with any mixture of the following: 1 pint blueberries, sliced apples, sliced peaches, or apricots. Delicious when served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Best served slightly warm. Refresh in oven, if desired.
